Find me on:

What is the most important of the diamond 4cs.jpg

You may find this hard to believe, but all the 4C's of diamonds are equally important.  No one 'C' is more important than another.  Therefore, you will need to prioritize your needs by balancing color, clarity, and cut in your ideal carat size.  If you focus on just the Carat and ignor the other C's you will end up with a big ugly diamond.

Does this leave you asking "How do I balance the 4cs of diamonds?"  If so, you are not alone. This is the struggle that everyone faces when they are preparing to buy a diamond.  Therefore, it is my hope that this blog will help you understand what you should be looking for, making the entire process easier and less stressful.  Enjoy!

"What is the best diamond CUT?"

Unless you are a trained diamond expert, you can give a little on the cut, though make sure your stone is still on the higher end, as a poorly cut stone will block light and prevent everyone from being able to see it's lovely color and clarity.

"What is the best diamond CLARITY?"

When you are shopping for a diamond please remember that the clarity is evaluated under extreme magnification.  The top to of the scale may only have flaws visible under a loupe or microscope; they are clean to the naked eye.  Therefore, instead wasting your budget on quality that you cannot appreciate, look for an 'eye clean' stone and use your budget on improved color, cut, or carat.

"What is the best diamond COLOR?"

While you always want to keep your diamond clean and free of color, some of the Near Colorless diamonds are so subtle that to an untrained eye in the right setting the color is not noticeable.
